Walk, Jog or Ride Safely - LED Marker Band

He Gadget: You know how you are startled when you are driving at night and suddenly see someone on the side of the road.  It makes you think how lucky you are that you didn’t hit them.  Well, I knew someone who actually did hit and kill a nighttime jogger who was running on a road with a small shoulder.  He’s lucky he didn’t go to jail, but I’m sure that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

 

If you are a night time walker or jogger, it’s so important to make sure you are seen.  Carry a flashlight, wear reflectors or use a LED marker band.  I have been using a flashlight when I walk my dog at night, but I’m not so sure that is enough.  You may want to use a couple of these.  It is also great for evening or night bikers, or kids that ride their bike home from their friend’s house.  You can never be too careful.

She Gadget:  I’m sure you’ve heard of those horrible stories where a child is kidnapped at a store or an amusement park.  I know someone who knows someone whose relative had this horrifying experience at an amusement park back about 20 years ago. Even though I didn’t know them, it still hit home and was very real to me.  My children are not little anymore, but when they were I was always scared of letting them out of my sight.

To Sunscreen or Not to Sunscreen...or how much
